have just captured some video from my camcorder using Roxio capture, have saved it as MPEG-2. Trouble is I want to send it over t'internet, so has to be compressed from the few hundred meg to something more manageable... Can anyone tell me how/recommend some software to do this (that I can download now)

Ash.

virtual dub and get hold of a few codecs

You should beable to squeez it to about 50-75% of the size with similar quality after that the quality really starts to disappear Although, converting the sound to mono and mp3 format (96Kbit etc) will help alot
