You've ragged your engine to bits and this is the consequence your engine wasnt built to be constantly rev to such high k's and to do a apparent 117mph on the clocks for a sxi
We always told you this was going to happen and warned you if you didnt take care of the engine thats why im not surprised these ECU cars scare me ive only dealt with mechanical 
I wouldnt bother fixing it for that amount of money like OJC said u cant get a XE for that price so look on the bright side you can have more power than a 106gti with you conversion

Stone cold, there is a quite old woman that has had her X12XE from brand new, and now has 75k on it, with exactly the same symptoms as me and paul. There area also plenty of other X12XE owners with the same issues, all unresolved.

My old Corsa when I traded it in just over a year ago, was on 63k (98/S), that started to get worse as well, and sounded really dodgy (like the timing chain wasn't lubricated or something lol), that Corsa was the biggest pile of crap I've ever owned, and what made it worse was that it had an auto box! LMAO!
