Computer won't boot up.
Tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in, but nothing works still, can't even get anything viewed on the screen... any ideas ?
think it's either the motherboard or the processor is fucked. What a great christmas i've had.

check the power lead at the power pack end and not just the mains plug point.
also check monitor end for connection.

are there any beeps?
just reset the cmos jumper. so it resets all the boot/post settings.
read the motherboard manual for the cmos jumper.

try unplugging all devices inside and running on minimum eg; no drives, pci card, just m/b memory processor and psu and see if you can get into bios, if you can then am sure you can work out the rest, its summat u removed! if that doesn't work then replace memory, processor and motherboard in that order, better off borrowing parts from your m8's computer just to see what's fuked
ohh and test your moniot just incase, and another thing even though power supply is running don't mean its working correctly

same thing happened to me, i ran the min components, cpu.ram.mb. but it wouldn't even post.
i solved it by resetting the cmos. if that doesn't work consider buying a new mb or cpu.

nevermind, sorted that now pretty much.
Think it's working now... fingers crossed.
Unplugged everything, reset CMOS, but it was booting from the wrong place. Changed that and now windows is booting
Dunno why the hell it was doing it anyway, just found it randomly on when i got back from Xmas.
Cheers intacepta
