are they legal?? ie no backbox just pipe work and trims?

you can do what u like but u may need a cat to get through mot if not then u dont have an mot which means yes ure car is not legal to go on road

its not that loud really, and yes cat wud be staying in place aswell as the centre silencer

i have a straight through pipe with no back box its just slash cut

yeh u'l be fine i had no center silencer on mine on the corsa or the one i got on the GTi now so essentially its the same... 1 silencer and a cat.

yea thats what i would have!

it burble's and pops like a gd un at the mo.. shouldnt take too much to get the pipework and trim done i hope

wats the go on de-cats? are they worth it?! i was thinking of getting one and just wanna know how much gain its gonna give, if any, ive got 1.4sri, standard xcept induction and magnex backbox

you may not get any gain, and could lose back pressure

As part of their job yes, however if you dont have one....... realistically you need something.

I ran a corsa 1.6 no backbox, mid silencer or cat - was fappin loud, and generally ran ok.... very few problems and never anything major.
