right, engine has been idling erraticlly recently revs at 2000rpm all the time when warm, but no ECU light on.
So ive changed ICV for a working but used one, checked inlet (using WD40 and listened for revs to rise but nothing!)
Got a new Coolant Temp Sensor today and fitted it, was fine for 5mins then revs started to creep up slowly.
and the ECU light flickers on and off but no fault code stored!!!
What else could it be/could i try?
would Throttle position sensor cause this? MAP sensor?
need some help ASAP as its unsafe to drive as im constantly fighting engine to slow down

You are having a bad time
Try first the TPS or throttle linkage
See if you don't have a leak in the manifold or broken hose (
air Leak)
Then MAP sensor
You must be patient

new ICV
take off velos and renew all gaskets

did you reset the ECU after your experiments?
Air leak gave TPS broken hose (code66) in my car and it was a leak in a hose (the one that was used to connect the alterpower.

yep reset it after all changes. but it only happens when its hot so it must be something to do with temperature of engine?
if it was air leak it would do it all the time
