Anyone know how i would go about fixing this? everytime i depress the clutch i get a loud sqeek its been like this for ages and i must of just got used to the sound and not taken much notice.Very embarrasing when i have other people in car.....help

build up of clutch dust?

bit like when you get build up of brake dust and your brakes squeek

unless you have a inspection panel on your gearbox......or a spare few hours to remove and refit gearbox & clutch.....or like paying rip off garage prices.......just gotta live with it

I will have access tot he gearbox tommorow as im taking out the shagged engine...how would i go about finding out the problem?

mine does this all the time aswell, common fault i think, what is it 1.2 8v?

its coming from the clutch yes

If its the pedal then it just needs lube, standard Vauxhall feature that.

Pretty much every Vauxhall ends up with this at some stage.

Have a look at the linkage on the pedal and squirt some oil about until it stops.
