Hi,
I have got hold of a an electric steering column from my local scrapyard. It was out of a corsa B on an X reg. (1.2 breeze).
I want to retro fit it but need some assistance on the wiring - I have the Haynes corsa manual but it only goes to 1997 and does not have any electric PAS wiring diagrams in the back.
There are 7 wires to connect and these are as follows :-
Thick Red -> live feed from battery
Thick Brown -> earth
Black/Green -> ?
Green -> ?
Light blue/red -> ?
Black -> ?
Brown/white -> ?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - a copy of the Haynes page covering this would be (I'm on broadband so no worries about file size)
If you are wondering what I am up to then see this link :-

Black/Green goes to the EPS light on the instrument cluster.
Green goes to the ECU.
Blue/red goes to the vehicle speed sensor.
The black is to be connected to a fused 10a ignition live.
The brown/white wire goes to the diagnostic connecter, you can leave this out if you want.

Right,
I have now got the following answers :
Thick Red -> live feed from battery
Thick Brown -> earth
Black/Green -> EPS dash light
Green -> engine rpm - feed from coil
Light blue/red -> ?speed sensor (PROBLEM WIRE)
Black -> ignition switched positive
Brown/white -> diagnostic feed
All the wires I can plumb in BUT the speed sensor wire is going to cause me some problems.
The installation will be in a nova (which doesn't run speed sensors as standard) however I will be running a 8v Astra digi dash. Do you think the transducer from this will work - or should I get a speed sensor from a corsa and piggy back this onto the gearbox speed output???
Any help would be appreciated
