Hello there,
My Engine Management Light has now been on a good few months... i've had it tested recently, and i was told it was a problem with the knock sensor circuit. I then replaced the knock sensor with a brand new one.. then the mechanic checked the wiring and he said it was ok. So what could it be???

so you replaced the knock sensor? and the wiring is fine?
first re-set the ecu by taking the battery off for a while (do a search on how long) i leave mine off overnight when re-setting the ecu.
if this still causes problems the fault could be that the mechanic did the sensor up too tight and broke the new sensor this is very easy to do.
what engine is it on? as some engines have a knock sensor module as well as a sensor and ecu.
