60 mm on what dampers? 60mm rides the bumpstops a lot - in these circumstances DO NOT fit polly bumpstops like powerflex - they are far too hard. You need foam or rubber. What state are the standard ones in? Try James, or Spax foam but they'll need to be short - no longer than 30mm unless they are pretty soft compound.

No I wouldnt advise cutting the std bumpstops cos after all they are only foam. Will you be fitting the bumpstops yourself and how many miles do you do a year?
Just trying to work out whats best for you as the softer ones ARE best on this setup BUT they do tend to need replacing about every 10K miles. Std uncut GM WOULD be best for your GMAX but these arent cheap new. Is it a REAL low 60mm as ive found GMAX really SLAM the car cos they run soft springs...

Ahh its tricky, I think you'll find with the GMAX that if you removed the bumpstop then the dampers would actually be bottomed out, they will be riding the bumpstops a hell of a lot. I had the same thing with a spax PSX 60mm kit a few years back on my Corsa. Real advice would be to go for coilovers as you'll get a better ride also. But i'd try and contact spax to see if they do any bumpstops in FOAM which are 20mm internal bore diameter. I know Jamex did some rubber ones but I imagine these will be rare as rocking horse shite...
