Right im wiring up my Alpine Headunit, and have been told its best to wire straight to battery.

Battery Lead (Yellow wire) goes straight to the battery

Ground goes to ground or negative battery terminal

Switched Power Lead (Red Wire)- Can i connect this direct to the battery aswell, and then it wont need the ignition on? Will this work ok?
