Either will fit the engine and there's no guarantee that the box hasn't been changed prior to removal.
The F value is 1/10th of the torque rating, so F20 is 200lb/ft, F16 is 160lb/ft etc.
Standard LET is about that, hence why F20 is really the minimum and F28 is wiser.
Having said that, F20/F16 are cheap and F28s are not.

F18's are used in vectra's, can be coupled up with hydraulic clutches.
F20's not being appropriate with c20lets? Bullshit! It's just your usual internet forum guesswork which people believe qualifies them into being a high knowledgable technician, bollocks.

I agree. But F28 would be preferable if I was to have a LET

He mentioned that in bold, also I've read plenty of threads Luke about people giving the F20 bad press, now I've tried it, ragged the tits off one and they are tough, however obviously not going to be as good performancewise as an F28 as they were specially designed in order to be teamed up with a LET, but they are good boxes, and as Ian said, they are a whole lot cheaper individually, which is why a lot of c20let corsa owners opted to save money and go with the F20's.

Yep, mind you, I was reading a thread in Help n Mods not long back and a certain someone wanted to charge an extra £150 for modifying the bulk head wear the box sits, and to enlighten people on what a con it is, all that is needed is about 4sq inch to be cut away and it takes about 10minutes
Anal rapage.

I know
When I read the entire post I realised
Like I said I agree the F20s are up to the job but personally would go all the way and have an F28 - yes more to buy and fitting kit is more but rather cough up to begin then get an F20 and change your mind after 6 months

Yeah, that's personal preference mate, I understand that, and it makes sense, I just couldn't get my head round what this Dan lad had been told by these people he's been listening to

Good thing about cav turbos is on a long journey, and you really need a piss, you can just damp down in the footwell, as it will just empty itself through the various rusted holes in the floorpan.
