Right then i am gonna take me x14xe OUT
How many mounts are there and what can i remove to make it easy as possible.

How do i put oil into me gear box when i put ma new engine IN, doeas it share the same oil thats in the engine or does it have its own supply

Sorry for al the questions but this will be my biggest mod yet when i do it

first things first, have you checked ze haynes manual? very useful.

had a look but the modfy guide doesnt show too much on the engine removal side of things

Mounts are the easiest bit, you can see them and they're just regular nuts.

There are loads of hoses and wiring you need to disconnect and label first.

can i not just disconnect my ecu cable where it has the connector block on the loom in the engine bay

Yeah amongst other things. Heater hoses, earth strap, starter motor, alternator, clutch cable, gear linkage, shafts etc. etc.

Nothing you won't spot while you're doing it, but its not just unplug and lift!
