I'd like to get into photography too. Not so much as a proffesion, just a hobby.


I was looking at cameras earlier on actually. Is the Cannon EOS 300D any good? It was the one they were promoting in the shop. Would cost me around £450

vibrio got that first then sold it for canon 20D
its good to start with but if you can stretch that far get canon 350D

no idea m8, i work for sony as icy said so i tend to stick with them... iv'e seen the dsc-F828 (one i used for the pics) go for about £450 though.... i like it alot...

i stuck to sony too
started with p72, then v1 and u30 for funcam
727 and 828 didnt get good reviews so got somethin else
got loads of left over memory sticks

828 rocks.... 4 colour ccd haven't seen the "purple hazing" its supposed to have though......

under £700 with lens.

these 8mp procumer camera's have terible noise. better off with a 6mp point and click.
