yeah, i said to him about that when he suggested going for a pearl, he said the paints they use shouldnt do that horrible yellowy colour. No offence anyone with a yellowy, pearl white car But on the same note, if the weather is crap, i mightnt want to use the corsa. Does it sound to anyone else like im just trying to convince myself to spend the cash? Cos ive just read what ive been writing!

2k is not overly expensive for a respray...its pretty average actually.
However, for £2000 ALLOT more than just washers should be removed...

If you simply mask around window seals etc... the paint will start to flake.
For that kind of money you should be looking to have:

All glass removed.
Doors fully stripped inc wiring
Tailgate fully stripped inc wiring and paint off car
Bonnet removed and painted off car
Bumper painted off car.
Arches painted off car
Mirrors painted off car
Roof aerial romved
Sunroof removed if applic
all locks and handles.
all lamps removed
Doing that basically means that it makes no difference whether u change or keep the colour.
For that money you should also be looking for the full body of the car to be reprepped, primed with anti corrosive primer, guide coated and blocked.
A respray like this comes with a lifetime guarantee.
Obviously for things like engine removal and second lacquer application your looking at more money.

But again, 2k isnt expensive for a respray if u break down just what is involved... but what you have been quoted for certainly isnt a respray and to be honest if the company added up the "job hours" properly, they would find its actually illegal to charge that amount as there isnt 2k worth of job hours in a recoat... (again not a respray)

Sorry if that sounds abit moany... just telling how it is.

£2k is well over priced for just basically a blow over!! unless there going to do like Koni says its not worth it!!

u can get a full colour change in a flip or kany (which is gonna be huge this year) for that much!!
there loads of palces that can do a spot on job and are alot cheaper m8!! its ur money end of the day but is a shame if u are paying over the odds for it when u can get same job for much cheaper!!!

gud luk 2 u m8

my 2 cents worth!
