For a drive in me mates E36 M3.......& have to say im quite dissapointed with the performance of it, it was fast but more smoothly fast than neck breaking fast if you know what I mean!!! Still nice motor and loads of toys and comfy as fuck, funny switching off the traction control and going sideways - but think the drive has put me off them a bit as it wasnt as special as id hoped

Yeah was nice....cream heated leather etc more buttons than a button factory, I kept pressing them to see what happened

I know what you mean colin, I went out for a ride in an M5 the other day and it wasn't at all what i expected, it was quick, no doubt about that, we hit 140 down a small stretch of road! but it didn't give a real impression of speed, it was very refined. Its not like raw power!

people that buy m3 and m5's aren't looking for ballistical power though.

i'm sure they could afford evo's etc. if they wanted the "kapowwww" effect.

i drive them all day long.there quick but like said above just feels comfy.the m3 csl is the daddy though that would put a grin on your face
