do you mean the steering ball joints or the bottom ball joint?
Cause the bottom is just a 19mm nut (off the top of my head), then you just turn the steering over so you can move the whole strut over enough to get the shaft out.

You need to get the bottom ball joint off to be able to move it over, take the 19mm nut off, then you'll need to seperate the ball joint rod from the hub, you can try prizing it off with something against the cv joint, cant get a hammer to it.
Failing that you need a ball joint spliter, about £6 from any motor factors for one that will trash your ball joint, apparently most of the proper splitters dont fit in due to clearance.

Can reuse them, just likely that the rubber boot will be damaged leading to sooner failure.

I put a jack under the ball joint then apply pressure from underneather to clamp the shaft then undo the 19mm nut with WD 40 everywhere, then let the jack down and normally a big spanner and socket under it to wedge the shaft out the base of the hub.
