Its a 51 plate coupe turbo with 54K Fsh and just had cambelt done, very good condition with a/c, cruise, multi CD, spolier etc
Im askin £8K at the mo, but had it in the autotrader for the past 2 weeks and have not had a call about it, gonna put it in again next week but unsure if i should drop the price as i don't wanna be waisting money advertising it if it not realistically gonna sell at that price:S

whats the parkers guide price?
I notice that peole are prepared to spend 2-4k on a private cars but anything over that price people are very cautious as its a lot of money to loose if it goes tits up. Thats why people go to garage that issue warranty etc.
Could you trade it in for a different car? or do u need the £'s

I need some ££'s, not necessaraly even gonna bother getting another car until i go back to uni next year
I have noticed that aswell, the golf sold within days and have had about 60 calls for it since and that was only £1500. £8K seems to be around the right price IMO as parkers always seems a bit low:boogle:

i dont usually pay attention to parkers when selling, i would price it around what others are selling for.

£8-8.5K is a good price for a ACT i think the problem is nobody wants to buy the Astra G Coupe/Hatch Turbo's now that the H sport hatch is out, dont drop the price for another couple of weeks it should sell at that price if it doesnt.. lower it by £500 in a fortnight

just had a look through the autotrader and the price you have it down for is a good price maybe its just a bad time to sell a car.

the only real time you can realistically sell a car is normally around payday i.e end of the month. Peeps have a bit of money in their pocket which finally tops up what they've been saving and they go out and buy cars. I've advertised cars both in the middle of the month and got some bites and sales but no where near usually the amount of interest I get when advertising a car at the end of the month!
That means advertise this tuesday!

you can pic them up for around 6-7k now though, and Gsi's have been going for 9k so 8k for a coupe turbo is a little high. Put it in for 7.5k but put offers and accept to let it go for 7k.

The insurance on my ACT is £890 fully comp. I think they are pretty reasonable to insure.

Have to agree 7.5 but offers around 7K wouldn't be in the wrong direction. Shoot pricing now but it's the way it's going now unfortunately.
