i thought it was a onw way valve, but allows vaccum to pass through both ways. unless its broke

non-return valve from inlet manifold to actuator for secondary air pump...
Used for the vacuum shitty job for opening the valve on the exhaust manifold for the secondary air pump to do its shitty job...
aslong as you dont remove the vacuum line from the inlet manifold to the actuator (next to the bonnet alarm sensor thingy) & block the vacuum hose off AFTER this bit, you can remove the pump & all the bits without the ECU throwing a hissy fit...

Ok got you some pics so you can see where it is & what bit it connects too...
The non-return valve location may differ on your engine, but its still connected to exactly the same parts & follows the exact same route...
Layout...

Starts here on the Servo Vacuum Line (manifold to brake cylinder)

Then runs to here (the bottom connector on act.)

see how I jammed up the other port which connects to the valve on the manifold??
Did same to that too...

Paul, could you just stick a resistor matching the soleniod over that connector, plug the vacum line by the resovir and dump all those gubbins off?
