It wont boot off the xp pro disc i have

I cant reinstall it through windows as it says i have a newer version than of the CD (obviously with the service packs etc.)

how can i clean format???

do i have to delete all the service packs then do it through windows - as i have changed the boot sequence etc just to boot from cd drive, cd drive and c: disk etc

any ideas?

Set CD drive to boot from CD or download the bootable disks. Had the same prob with my sisters laptop today but i had the disks so booted from those.

Or use Nlite to create a bootable XP Pro cd -You can also use Nlite to place in your details, such as Product ID and User names etc for a automated installation. You dont have to press a single key it will do it all for you
