I have included a very accurate diagram of my Corsa's Dipstick...

Where do I have to fill it to? Arrow 1 or 2. The black line in the red is where my oil is at at the moment...

And what oil does a 1.2 8v require? I don't understand all the 15w/40 or whatever .

I usually go by the "one litre for the car, one litre for me principle."

not surprising

When you go to buy your oil (hopefully from a car accessory shop) they should be able to tell you if the car requires Multigrade, Semi Synthetic or Fully synthetic, and how much you should need for a full service..

Obviously as it's a 1.2 8v you want multigrade and should take no more than 3-3.5 litres to fill from Empty IIRC oh and it'll be 15w40 usually Just top it up until the oil reaches the MAX level make sure you top up on a flat surface when checking oil
