Just thought I would post a couple of pics up of 'Project 1.6'.

Next on my to do list

Looks less lower than it is in this pic

  • Clean it
  • GSi side skirts, smoothed into rear arches
  • Smooth and colour code front and rear bumpers
  • colour code door handles/boot lock
  • de-badge
  • New grill
  • Finish ice
  • Get new number plates made

Thats for now anyway!

I'll also post pics of interior later.

Cheers

So Sport models come with Apex suspension as standard? I didn't realise! It has dampers and springs so could I get away with just getting lower springs?

Sport models did not come with Apex suspension. It must have been lowered slightly if has Apex shocks, but you should get some more Apex springs and lower it some more.

40mm springs and std. dampers work fine, so they will be fine with the Apex dampers

Erm how about your wrong they had the same springs as sports and then in 97 it changed slightly as they tried to sell the gimmick of Loutus tuned suspension.
