does the boot hatch open and close correctly?

and does the rear panel look straight?

what ever you do go through the insurance company you'll get everything replaced that needs replacing and more on top as body shops like to make extra money. Plus if you go private and somethings becomes apparent a few months down the line you wont have a leg to stand on. Plus with going through an insurance company all works aproved and guranteed for like 5 years.

ths was mine two years ago and that wernt wrote off even with a crease down the offside quarter.

Here are the pics with the bumper off. As you can see, it definately has damaged behind the crash panel

Any idea what exactly a bodyshop does to fix this type of damage?

sure they could pull it out a bit but not sure if they would the metal would be softer after it?

will need a new rear panel welding in and maybee boot floor straighting

need a pic of down the car on the rear 1/4 to see if that has bowed out any..

prolly just need a new rear pannel and rear bumper crash bar etc mine was far worse than that ^^^^^^

you need to take your system out the boot.
Its going to have to come out to repair it properly anyway.

im pretty sure that the rear quarter is fine. There doesnt seem to be any irregularities in it.

It's off to the bodyshop later this week so i will see what they say.
