You can but depends what it is because of the kick down system can fool the rollers.
Not particluary accurite results to be honest.

Car in question is my Cavalier V6 (C25XE) with 4 speed auto box.

Would they have to use 1st 2nd and 3rd like a manual then to get the results (as opposed to Drive)?

RR dont use through the gears to get reading..... the use 1 gear, normally fourth

They will have to use 2nd gear on your car

(does it go 1 - 2 - D if its got a 3, and stays in that gear without kickdown/change up they can do it)

The thing to think about is kickdown.... stop that and you can get a reading

I think it goes 1 > 2 > 3 > D normally.

You can tell when you use kickdown because you can depress the accelerator to a certain point, it stops but then you can press it a little harder and goes to the floor, if that makes sense?

There is also Sport mode, that holds the revs longer in each gear and doesn't use Drive as often as it does in Economy mode.

no point in RR the car if your not going to floor it...

Will it kickdown in 3rd if you boot it from 1.5k?? - if so, cant do it in 3rd

Will it kickdown in 2nd if you boot it from 1.5k? - if so, you cant RR it
