My car 1.4 16v SRI is started useing oil a couple of weeks ago didn't think to much of it but now its smoking aswell

Any ideas?

When cold and hot its a thick smoke black and blueish

smoke on start up when its cold is a sign of stem seals.

no it means head off and replace stem seals, and obviously head gasket,bolts etc

I got the same problem but my head gasket has gone. So i recommend you book it in and get it fixed before it goes.
