right just got xe in corsa and all wired up but when shes running temp is hitting over 100 in red and fan int kicing in. put paperclip in thermostat plug and fan started so wiring is ok?? any one had this problem??

it's the sensor in the radiator thats knackered. Replacement from vaux is about 20 quid.

someone told me that the settings on the xe were different so it would not kick in unitll at the right temp from the car sensor? bullshit??

what car sensor?
sounds like the fan switch in the rad is knackered.

If the thermostat wasn't opening, lack of water round the engine i.e. come up the same symptoms?

the sensor in the radiator is knackered. pull the wires out and put a paperclip on the terminals, if the fan then comes on, the switch is knackered. if it doesnt, may be wiring, or a fuse.

yea m8 have exactly the same problem,just i used spade clips. its defo the semsor in the radiator fan
