The day arrived when I got tired of my standard exhaust and catalyst. Therefore I decided to make my own exhaust in stainless steel!
For the project I needed:
Stainless steel metal sport-catalyst
SS backbox from Scorpion
SS middlebox (silencer) and SS pipe from middlebox to backbox
SS "pipe" from exhaust manifold to catalyst
1 custom-made flange made from 8 mm SS plate
various SS pipes in different dimensions
various gaskets
TIG-welder
Everything was done with help from one of my friends working at www.kleemann.dk (check out the nice Mercedes they build!!!).
Have a look at http://www.kleemann.dk/site/Main/thecars/slkr171
So now everything is made in SS from exhaust manifold to the backbox
Pipe from exhaust manifold to catalyst

Custom-made flange made from 8 mm SS plate to connect exhaust manifold to catalyst:

SS sport catalyst:

Middle silencer and catalyst:

Backbox from Scorpion:

Hope you have enjoyed the "show" :-)
Cheers

Picture of tail pipes is actually an old picture where it was not mounted correctly. At present they only stick out from the "Scorpion" text (the last 3 cm).
Don't know what you mean by "pipes don't look madrel bent"? "Madrel bent" is not in my dictionary ;-) :-) Do you mean they don't have the same diameter in the bent?

naahh...but who cares? They do a lot of simulations at Kleemann.dk on exhausts. A 2,5" exhaust can easily flow a 350 bhp 3,5L compressor charged engine. So I'm sure my 2" exhaust is fine for my 110 bhp engine althoug all bents are not 100% smooth
