i received a letter in the post yesterday from dvla, saying -
thank you for telling us that you are no longer the keeper of or have scrapped the vehicle with the above mentioned registration mark, we have updated our records, etc
i havent told them anything, and deffinetly not scrapped the car??? i just renewed my tax at post office, and now i receive this? am i driving illegally now? i keep trying to phone them but they say there phone lines are busy, what should i do?

At a guess I'd say someone has transfered your car to a differen't name!

u only get these when u have sold/re-registered a car..
the only way this can happen is by someone sending/applying for ur log book.

when u taxed the car did u tax it in the name thats on the logbook? if u didnt the postoffice will of imformed dvla that its a different keeper thats taxed the car.

i taxed it in my name, which is on the logbook?? dont understand why ive recieved this and i still cant get through to them, whats the phone number?
