hey dna , where did you get your pipercross air filter element from, and how much.
i wennt in halfords today, they said £40, thought this seemed alot but not sure.
also, my airbox is not like yours, i have 1994 1.4 sri 8v, my airbox has a small extended compartment in nearer the wing, but on taking the air box off i found that i could remove a cover off of the bottom left hand side of tthe airbox, started the car up and my good it was loud,
its a small panel about 10x4 cms, gona leave it off as it is on the wing side, put cold air feed in and element.

Yeh remove that and drill a few holes

drill holes in this then put it back or remove this and also drill holes

anyone left this rectangle piece off of the airbox at all.

ordered a pipercross panel filter today, but still not sure if to leave the rectangle piece off the bottom of the airbox and route cold air feed to it, has anyone else left this part off
