ok my new log book arrived yesterday with my new reg on it, can i put the plates on the car? or do i hav to wait till the new tax disc comes?

Gav if you went to Thornaby DVLA you could of had the reg transferred same day plus your new cert and tax disk printed. i did this and plates were on same day. Think you have to wait for new tax disk to arrive in your case if the dvla still have it.

i hav the new plate on the on the tax disc it has my old pates on, just wasnt sure if id get wrong or not.. supose i cud explain ididnt recieve tax wit log book

When I got mine I had to go to DVLA first with the docs I got thru for my private reg and they changed the tax disc there and sent away the log book to get changed then put my new plates on straight away

best ask at a post office or local dvla office mate best to be sure u dont want tobe getting fines

theres a dvla office thing in gateshead sumwher i think mate thts wher i got mine sorted out, had th plates in the car with me n got thm all sorted tx th lot ther n then

u should of got the tax disk FIRST, then you can put the plates on

then you send your OLD tax disk off for exchange for your NEW log book
