I'm in need of 2 tyres on my car and am fancying a change, i've got Toyo Proxes T1-r's at the moment, i've had T1-s's aswell. They have both been good but just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them and other tyres in comparison.
I think i've narrowed it down to:
1. Toyo's again
2. Yokohama A539's or
3. Goodyear Eagle F1's
cost isnt really an issue because i get them at trade price and can fit em myself anyway so if anyone has has tried any of them opinions would be appreciated.

I don't rate Toyo Proxes at all.. 
Never heard a bad word said about the Goodyears though.

ahh yes forgot about michelins 2, goodyears have always had a good reputation thats what made me think bout them.
anyone tried both michelins and goodyears then?

toyo r really good i think, never been impressed with tyres before but the proxies i got are very good all round

Toyo's seem good to me too but some people say they are crap too, so if they are crap to some people whatever they use must be amazing.
Think i may give michelins a go

i have Goodyear Eagle F1's just been driving throught standing water like its bone dry!! the grip is fantastic...
yet to comment about tyre ware though!

Well i had Hankook's on before the Proxe's and both lasted about 6,000 miles but the Hankook's gripped so much better when pushed in both wet and dry..

also think about what your car is. a low powered car can get away with less grippy tyres. personally I would have gone with the uniroyall rain tyres. very good allround tyre

I dont rate Toyos for 2 reasons.
1) Not good in the wet (in my opinion)
2) Fast wearing, especially in the summer months
Never tried F1's, but wouldnt mind !
I had a set of Federals on my old motor, they were awesome

Id deffo go for the michlin pilots, they are grippy in the wet and dry and they last a lon time!

I've Kumho tyres on the Saxo, seem alright and still nice and chucky after 6k. Got Michlin Energy on the C3 and to be honest they are shite. After 2k the fronts are about 1/4 worn. It's given less stick than the Saxo as it handles wank and slides way to much. Whacking some alloys on it soon with some more Kumho tyres Can't really slam it as i need the 5 doors at the minute

i have uniroyal rainsport 1s on the front and eagle F1s on the back, they are both awesome, especially in the wet, the F1s are slightly thinner though.

i made the mistake of getting a539's for my car... it has 14" steelys on it... god its awfull! i dont know if its the tire is crap or if its the wheels are not wide enough... the tyres lean over way to much...
gona get some eagle f1's but i dunno if its the tire thats the problem
