i dont think so somehow. the rev limiter on the 1400 is 6500rpm, which is translated to about 125mph, there is no way in hell a 1400 is going to reach the limiter with no heavy mods.
well my road angel showed 123 and the speedo was about 126 and my mate in his corrado vr6 was up my arse and he said that it was about right.. so i don't really agree with your gearbox theory! sorry mate

Got to 110mph on 15's and induction kit yesterday and the car started to shake like mad, dont think its built for that speed lol
not gonna bother doing that anymore although the buzz factor is amazing

Indicated 127 in my 1.6 Sport.
Drilled airbox and de-cat..
And before anyone starts with this limiter pish it was almost on the limiter at that! lol

limiter for F15 gearbox and 6750rpm rev limit is about 135mph

well ltes see i know none of these are accurate as wheel size speedo readin out etc:
standrad sport alloys - 126 mph
bk 236 16" - 120mph
steelies - 98 got scred lol
kahns 15" - 120
current t12 16" - max i get is 110
