Quick question... what size fuses do I need to put in my ANL fused distribution block? and what size fuse do I need to put in the inline fuse holder? The wiring is 4 gauge from the battery and then splits off into 2 x 8 gauge at the distribution block.

The amps are:

Alpine MRV T420
Alpine MRD M300

Im not too sure what size I need so if someone could tell me the right size I can order the fuses and inline fuse holder today. I dont want to take a risk and guess the fuse sizes and get it wrong. Thanks

TTT

Went home last night, looked in the manual for the amps. It says that the T420 should have a 50amp fuse for the inline fuse holder (in this case the distribution block) but it didnt say what the MRD M300 should have? So I still need to know what size inline fuse I need for the MRD M300 if anyone can help please

And presume that the inline fuse that is within 0.5m of the battery is the total of the 2 fuses in the distribution block? (e.g. if the T420 needs a 50amp fuse and the MRD M300 needs an 80 amp fuse I need a fuse capable of at least 130) But cant work that out till I know the size of the fuse needed for the M300!

My distribution block is fused so it has a fuse for each amp plus then there is the inline fuse near the battery. Do you not need bigger than a 100amp fuse for all the stuff that you've got in your car

I got told to play it safe, having a small fuse will work fine and if the slightest thing goes wrong with my ice, the fuse will blow and save all my ice. I would rather buy a new fuse than buy new amps.

Simple. Look at your amps, add up the fuses on both amps and that will give you the fuse rating for your inline holder.
Then for the ANL block, add up the fuses on one amp and thats one fuse for the block, then add up the fuses on the other and thats your other fuse rating.

Kinda simple really.
