As im driving along and accelerate I can hear a whistling noise and it seems to get louder as I put more acceleration or drop it down a gear and lift the cluth up slowly! What could it be as its starting to worry me

What engine?

Could be alternator belt.

1.2 8v, yea it actually sounds like a turbo whistle

Mine does it. Alternator belt. Sounds supercharged

Someone said if mine went as well as it sounded, it'd be a beast

is it a Whistling or a whining?

Vacum pipe come off?
wheel baring gone?
clutch Release baring gone?
feed back threw your Headunit?

explain more what the sound is like?

if its just a whistling when accelration its just a vacuum leak. Check all pipes, gaskets etc around the inlet

Kyle - I'll send you a vid of mine, if it's the same sound, it's your alternator belt. Does it even when i change mine, is even louder on a new one...

And you can hear it from outside the car Beardy. More when I accelerate, and when I stick it in second from 3rd and lift cluth slowly its louder lol.
