MInes been lowered 40mm on just springs for years now. No probs at all, the dampers are still damping. You only need the shorter shocks when lowering more than 40mm because the springs fall out the dampers and off the rear beam at MOT time when the car goes up on the ramps.

mine is on -35 pi springs... tis a corsa sport... do they come with better shocks?
anyways... must be a year since i put the pi's on and its still going fine...although i would uprate shocks if i wasn't saving all my money for uni.
