How would i check to see if its leaking under boost?
I dont think its running rich it actually seemed to run ok, idle was a slight bit irratic but that could just be age old ICV problems.
Turbo wooshes on spool as well as boost, going to go over and re-check all pipes to make sure one opf them didnt slip slightly

Sounds like a burst or loose boost hose mate.

if its a hybrid and on standard management, it could be the car isnt set up for a bigger turbo and is not supplying the right amount of fuel to compensate for the increase in air flow.

ok just when you said hybrid, (i may be wrong) but normally hybrids have slightly bigger internals and flow more air. Just a thought though, might be miles away fron the answer. As said, best bet is to get it on a rolling road for a diagnostic, see what the boost/fuelling patterns are.
