also if you own a business, and earn less than £56k a year, u can claim all your tax+VAT back as far as i know. doesnt apply to your car sorry, but thats what initially came into my mind for some gay reason.

Well you could only claim the vat back if you were vat registered, and i dont think there is vat on car tax.
And if the car was for personal use i doubt you could claim the tax back either.
And what a random bit of information anyway!

i need to do this also on wifes tax, took it off car after accident, mind you only got 2 months to go, hardly worth the hassle..........
