but yes Dave, FS2004 has a utility for throwing in failures of your aircraft at a preset time-frame, or realistic failure time frame, ie, hardly ever happens, but good when it does hehe.

most of the payware aircraft have their own superior failure scenarios which throw in every so often, but your aircraft will malfunction if you dont fly it correctly.

so it's not truly realistic then?

Plane drop out the sky all the time. There must be some kind of random sum going on somewhere in the background on FS that can calculate the chance of a crash, albeit a very remote one.

That would be cool though....

then when the plane hits the floor you have to get out and look for the black box to see what happened.

It was Sadiq Sammur! He had a knife and cut the fuel lines!!

LMAO, its realistic enough in that FS can simulate a total hydraulics failure at cruising alititude, leaving you with no option but to try your best and ditch in a field/sea. total engine failure is cool though, because you get to deploy the RAT (Ram Air Turbine) this is used to power vital electrical equipment in the event of total engine loss

it's like a little propellor isn't it that sticks out of the bottom of the aircraft (just under the cockpit). ?
