Indeed sir, well worth attaching myself to the unpleasantness of a large five year bank loan to get my mits on her.
It was a bit like -
'Do you want to f*ck this beautiful, funny, clever wealthy young virgin who will never moan at you, be at your beck and call and likes beer and motorsport, all the music you like and watching the same telly as you, and who will find all your jokes hilarious and never be offended when you fart?'
'Er, yes, of course I do.'
'Right, you will have to marry her though'
'Erm, I have some doubts, let me give that some thought...' '...OK, it's a deal.'

Indeed, couldn't help myself, it was like offering a pikey on a methadone program a big bag or horse
Ran out of work on the phone like a man possesed when I got the text from my Dad telling me they'd knocked another 2 grand off the price, and didn't arrive back at work the next day until i'd secured a loan and got my invoice for putting a grand deposit down
Car is absolutely lovely to drive fast or slow and is just my cup of tea - my preferred style of conveyance is something along the lines of Sierra Cosworth, Escort Cosworth, Lotus Carlton, Ford Falcon, Holden HSV, Nissan Skyline R33/32, 4.5 litre TVR Cerbera, Overfinch Range Rover, Bentley Mulsanne Turbo.
Unfortunately, none of the above are available brand spanking new for the price of a horrible european hatchback
I have already decided on a nice little group of components that I can get from Dreadnought performance for £1,458.00 which should increase power to roughly 300 brake at the flywheel with a proportional rise in torque, and a nice X-Power exhaust will free up some ponies too and having her sounding like a 5 litre Griffith at idle.
Then, when the warranty's up and i've saved up enough money, BINGO! a roadtrip to Perthshire to get a supercharger fitted and 400 brake minimum
Lowering springs, smoked rear lights, dark powder coated door handles and a set of 9 x 18 Compomotive MOs in satin black should do wonders for stealth or visual menace at least.
Added bonus is I like the colour too, not as mean looking as the old man's but looks nice, like a big chunk of emerald with fangs
Some nice little overtones of old Rover and Jag shapes in the body design too

A wise buy IMO, and something modern and *sensible* (ish)

Sadly I haven't.
What car would it be? Mercedes or BMW, or perhaps something from the Holden stable? Name deffo sounds familiar but can't place it.
It's not a huge old Nissan or a Range Rover by any chance is it?

I had a hunch it might have been after some thinking - 570R from years ago was an animal and the name is so similar I thought it may have been RR. Are they still supercharged?

I had at first presumed that the above statement to be jovial and complementary along the lines of, it's mad, or but with a different slant.
However with the benefit of hindsight, I now see that it is plausable that you may well have been making a derogitary and sarcastic and wholy cruel and unwarranted judgement on a vehicle not deserving such insult, whilst simultaneously showing admiration for a girlie little hatchback.
I do hope that I am wrong on this occassion and that the former is correct, as if not, you may well be in a potentially disasterous situation. A nasty predicament whereby your taste in cars and your very heterosexuality may be called into question.
This is not an enviable position to be in Seth, and if it is the case, I advise you to take all necessary action and seek help from the proper authorities without delay to remedy the problem.
Alternatively, you may well simply be a superior human being who's chosen transport of delight is a vehicle of such unwavering good qualities and masculinity that it is beyond reproach and as such, renders all other vehicles worthy of ridicule and disdain.
I personally think that 15 grand is rather good for a brand new model of the only English muscle car that has been on sale since the Jensen Interceptor, Rover SD1 Vitesse, Sierra Cosworth and Lotus Carlton all went out of production.
And V8 fun with a LSD and some toys can't be a bad thing, especially as a daily driver.

Jesus, that's good dough depending on the age of the car. From what I can remeber, the car was at least 50 grand new, and the top Overfinch conversion more or less doubles the price, so great value second hand and a hell of a lot of bang for your buck - interesting depreciation curve though - sort of like a water slide The one called the Kamikaze run
570R was catastrophically powerfull - was supercharged 5.7L Chevy and did bad things to soft tarmac

SVM i know it was a 96 plate.
They change everything but IIRC you decide how much of the package you buy? like just engine or engine interior resprays etc etc.
This looks like it just has the engine, but as u said the conversion from overfinch is around £50-60k i think

Range Rover.
Overfinch have done ground up huge power blown engine installs for RRs for years and do handling, wheels, tyres, brakes etc. aswell as bespoke interiors. Very very very good motors
