Ive been reading your tutorial on removing the rub strips and it says to use a heat gun.....would this not cause a problem to the paint on the car?

The quickest way I got mine off were to use a plastic spatula (the sort you spread wall filler with).
Slide this under the front of the trim and move along and hey presto, easy peasy.
There was a small amount of tack left, which I used petrol to remove.
Much better than a scaper as it doesn't mark the body in any way

I did my drivers side with a hair dryer, took ages, BUT when i finished that door it started to rain. Then i did the passenger side after it finished raining, with a credit card, and it came of in 1 go, even the crapy glue. Didnt even have to use the hairdryer!
