Yes as long as he is fully comp, meaning he can drive other cars and be covered

As long as your old man has fully comp cover on his own car then he is entitled to drive your car with third party cover. To answer your question:
Yes he can take the points.....if he's feeling generous

Its a shame thou that they cant trace IP's off here, get personal details apart from those displayed in your profile, for all we know this could be some guy attention seeking/lying i doubt a company like the DVLA would monitor these sites, they have better things to do like increase road tax, catch people speeding and fine everyone whos car is not off that road that had not been declared SORN

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) allows the police (usually the Hi-Tech Crimes Unit) to request ANY logs that allow them to identify people from ANY online activity, whether it be from an ISP or forum or similar......refusing to give these logs out, when officially asked, is a criminal offence.
The police DO read these boards......just like on whichever forum it was a while ago, where someone took points for their boyfriend, you CAN be completely identified (it may be a long process, but they will get there) if they decide to investigate.
You made the mistake, you take the points......if you have to re-take your test, yes, it's a lesson you'll (hopefully) learn to not make again.
But do NOT try to get anyone else to take the points for YOUR mistake, that's just fcuking selfish!
Jumping a red-light AND speeding, all within 2 years of taking your test, I hope you do get banned for a while, perhaps it'll calm you down and realise that there are other drivers on the road with a lot more consideration and patience than you...
