THERE HAS BEEN A SMELL OF PETROL SINCE I PUT ON AIR FILTER WHY IS THIS AND WHAT IS THE WEE RED WIRE FOR THAT I HAD TO DISCONNECT WHEN PUTTING ON NEW UNIVERSAL AIR FILTER>??

PLEASE HELP AS I HAVE A LONG JOURNRY TO DO 2MORO

it shouldnt cause a smell of petrol

and dont worry about that little red wire

im sure mine has that wire (1.4 ) , and its a 16v, not sure about wire though.. cant remember - you cnt see fuck all in vauxhall engines after 1.2 lol, theres piss all space, induction kit was already on this one, had one on last corsa though, 1.2 8v, doesnt matter mate dont worry about it

only the 8v's use a vacuum pipe for the airbox, its not a 16v if it has one. you need to block this little pipe up, or the engine can actually overfuel because it thinks there is more air going into the engine then there actually is.
mike_corsa, even with the 16XE, there is loads of room
