anyone had this problem after fitting a decent sub? its annoying and theres no way to stop it. Is there any point fitting a carpeted thick mdf shelf?

My whole tailgate shakes, the wiper bounces off the screen, number plate vibrates and so does the spoiler :@
I need to get me some sound deadening asap

lol everyones tailgate does until you get dynamat. unfortunately i havent won the lottery recently so i cant purchase any parcel shelf is worse mate trust me lol, right behind my head rattling like fuck !!

lol i got my shelf from scrappies though, and one of clips is broken , so its about as secure as a wheel with no nuts/bolts on

My parcel shelf didn't used to rattle at all. But it does all the time now ive got a stealth shelf. It even rattles loads even without my music on

smooth boot rattles same as normal boot.
and reason my parcel shelf is rattling so much is because of the snapped clip i presume. What do the rest of you JL Audio/ RE people use ? acoustic shelf? (or anyone with a proper sub of simialr quality)

Another option is to cut holes in it and acoustic carpet over it.
I had 6x9 holes in my corsa (but obviously no 6x9's :rolleyes and I just acoustic carpetted over th whole lot.
Result = you cant see the holes but the air/sound passes through them and doesnt push le shelf up
