Right due to my old konis being on their last legs (did over 35K miles on them in one year ) i replaced them a few months ago and the ride quality improved second to none.
Now I have increasingly found the front end to feel extremley vague and understeer is somewhat provoked without much encouragement it almost feels like the front is going to slide away from the car. Also last week when nailing it more or less sweeped across into the other lane like it was aquaplaning Before the ride was harsh but it stuck to the road like glue and understeer wasnt half as bad.
Before any jumps on the "XE's dont handle I love 1.6's" my XE handled brilliantly before. I'm going to replace the upper and lower ball joints and the bottom bush but was wondering what else would cause this? Faulty dampers?
My inner CV's are pretty much dying too but wouldnt of thought this would of affected the handling?
Any info or experiences would be appreacited

what anti-roll bar are you running? Did you have the tracking done after fitting the new dampers? What springs do you have? whats your favorite colour?
I would also check the suspension top mounts and bushes on the ARB.

After youve done this i would recommend a set of whiteline ARBs to further improve turn it and body roll.

roads are greasy now, and what are your tyres like.?
if the konis and tyres were new and it was summer 35k ago, but now you've new konis again but worn tyres and slippy roads it's obviosly going to be different?!!

To be honest, i didnt rate my koni yellows on the standard springs that come with them, the front end was like jelly on a late!
A lad who i know has bought some of the stiffer 2litre Courtenay springs and although its brought the front end up a bit, he said the handling is much improved.
The koni yellow kit i had is designed for the weight of a 1.6 as i had a GSi, try some stiffer springs!
