enlarge the ports basically. i once had a go with a dremel, matched the inlet and exhaust ports on me old 1400sr nova to the gaskets, but that was it.
in my eyes, best left to the professionals with flow benches etc. costs money but i reckon its worth it

let a proffesional do it. not as easy as it seems, a poor job can actually de-crease airflow and lose performance.
more to it than getting the dremmel out
gary did my x16xe head inc new head gasket kit and cleaning, skim, return postage for £260.

i had a practice on an old head, hit it with a big grinding attachment on a drill that wouldnt fit in the ports, it did by the time id done though! then i smoothed all the edges with a dremel. itll never be used though, it was just a bit of an experiment really.
