well i got my engine out last night, have stripped the manifold right off it, taken off starter, alternator. Was going to have a look at the timing but the last garage that did my timing belt have rounded off one of the nuts on the cover
I am waiting on some vacum hose and a head gasket set and new head bolts ariving so i can then get the head off give it all a check and clean fit all the new seals and put it back together.
Need to sort out the routing of the charging loom aswell as it was a mess, wrapped round different pipes etc

will get some pics tommorow

right i cleaned the lower inlet and throttle body.
took off the timing belt cover (some force required:lol
and when i look at the pulleys the marks on 1 are at the top right and the other is the bottom left.
Should these not both be at the top bottom etc
how can i turn the pulleys to check better?

and if it is that far out what could be the damage as it has been run quite a bit

could be a trip to garage that put new timing belt on
