I thought the LET was a bastard conversion for the C due to Multisomething wiring to the dash

Z20 Let is just plug and play, no?

Canbus is a fooker, a real headache.

Plus as i have said before you cant mix and match parts when using a z20let you need everything - two looms ecu, everything or it wont work.

c20let's you can mix and match all manor of parts to get it to work.

What I've heard is that you need to run two ECU's one running the things like the dash lights and all those little bollocks things and another ECU to run the engine.

Depends on the car.

On the mk4 astra like Byrons he had to leave the old ECU in place to run the temprature gague.

Old cars and new engines.
New cars and old engines.

Depends what engine is going in what.

There will always be problems

That C20LET C had to have the old ECU in to run the fuel pump and the Moronic ECU in place to run the engine as far as I know...

My conversion, as Teddy has already pointed out, needed the XEV ECU to control the temp reading on the dash.
That was its one and only purpose.

The Motronic controlled everything else.
The Motronic lived behind the dash clocks.
