I have a late (1994) XE engine for sale, it is out of a Cavalier SRi, so it doesnt have a distributor, it has the dispack, so ideal for escort or kitcar conversion where bulkhead space is needed. Starts first time although tapped for about 30secs, but the car had been stood for a while and I removed it straight away. It was bought of rmy nova but I have just purchased an engine on twin carbs which is tuned, so this one has to go. It comes ready to run with, loom, ECU, starter, alternator, manifold etc. Space needed and money needed for xmas so it is priced at £275
Oh and the coolant was nice and blue when I took it out so no porous head problems, and the gearbox is an F20 close ratio, perfect for nova/corsa/cav conversions.
Thanks
Chris
The engine must be collected from Selby, North Yorkshire

hmmmm . . . tempted.
what difference will it make if it does not have the distributor to a corsa conversion?

just looks tidier mate, no extra wiring at all, they are also better on fuel than the earlier ones with distributor. Main advantage of the dis-pack is for the escort or kitcars when they dont have room for the dizzy

When you say has been stood for a while and you removed staight away, does that mean you dont know whether it runs?

No it does run, I had it running for a good while when I got it to make sure it wasnt overheating. I drove it a couple of time then took the engine out when the T&T ran out on teh car.
