right ive got a btb manifold, im not after one of there systems, so im wondering if any1 is running an after market off the shelf system like scorpion/piper

my problem is getting correct bore size as off the shelf only go as far upto 1.6 sport corsa but will it really make that much difference??????? to performance, ive got shocking powerflow one on at mo and car dont feel like its suffucating etc and that was origionally on my 1.4 sport.

my choice is scorpion cat back suzuka and piper large oval both stainless surly smaller bore cant be as bad as shocking build quality from powerflow can it.......

At the moment I have an exhaust system from a 1.2 16v on my 2.0

I've yet to see how it performs, but i've been advised to upgrade

I got a Magnex with the Small Oval tail, made for a 1.6, no problems with mine at all.
Just ran a healthy 166bhp on the rollers as well so cant be bad.

I dont think that powerflow is that bad to be honest. It's usually down to the person who made/fit the exhaust if its seriously crap.

I'm running a maxgex full system from a 1.6 mated to a standard XE manifold.

Sounds the nuts us EXACTLY the same bore size as the manfiold flange and must be doing good if i managed 163 bhp on the RR last when it was standard

Off the shelf exhaust are the way forwards absolutely blows the powerflow quality out of the water. I feel for people who buy Powercrust systems

my old xe had a 2" powerflow system

when we first converted it, it was welded up to the std 1400 16v system and it restricted it like hell. once the powerflow was on it revved a lot happier up the revs and was generally faster.

in my opinion, if out the factory a 2litre 16v comes with a 2" system, why make a smaller bore size fit?????? waste of time
