Do they actually want anyone to stay with them


Whoever is in charge of upgrades/pricing needs to be sacked! Absoloutely ridiculas, on upgrade customers who r spending like £45 a month they want to charge them £50 for a k750i when they can go ANYWHERE on the high street take their number with them and get it for free on a plan half the cost!

I know about churn etc etc, but its a fooking pisstake. They are basically telling all their existing customers to piss off

I have never had a problem.

I left for one year because they didnt actually do the phone i wanted.

Worst mistake ever.

Their customer service to me has always been nothing short of excellent.

tell them you want to cancel your contract, then when they ask why tell them that.
I did same thing and they sent me a new phone out free that day

I was merely commenting on the fact they seem to have a small lack of business sense on keeping their existing high spend customers

Thats ok chap - its true - never had a problem.

When i rang up and said i was leaving i thought he was going to cry - nothing they could do if they dont do the phone.

The best operator (for me) by far!

I'm with Orange. Left them a couple of years ago to go to O2 and they were shit so went back to Orange as soon as I could. Haven't been able to fault them myself.

I spend £50 a month on my contract. It was the same with me Teddy, I rang up to leave (although I was going to sign up with them again to get one of the new customer only deals) and they offered me the same deal as new customers get to stop me leaving

i just left orange for exactly the reasons you say J.

customer service while i was with them was ace, but it slipped a little the couple of calls i made between cancelling and being cut off.

yes i know they want me to pay 150 quid to get my "free upgrade"

rang them up and asked if i was due my free upgrade they said yes, proceeded to aks which fone i wanted etc just before i finished he said, right be fore i send it out i need to tyake 150 off u, would u like to use the account u use from ur billing :@

wen ballistic at him and stiil got no fone

The system they use is fair enough, work out what your entitled to against how much u spend with us, but their prices just keep going up and up and up and up. Its now just SO expensive its ridiculas.


Checked to see if my dad could upgrade the other day= £50, checked today its gone up 100% £100 there goes my dads xmas present

if you cancel your contract before the year is up, do you get charged for the remaining months fees or do they work it out some other way?

Not all of it matt, there is a fair bit based on churn, around 70% IMO

But orange promote themselves about being about customer service, and keeping their existing customers, they had it right about 3-4months ago. But at them oment the prices are just a piss take, i cant upgrade anyone cos no-one is fucking eligible to get dick for free.

It doesnt make much sense tbh, especialy when our deals for newe cusatomers are shit unless you look on our website, and we cant hponor them instore anymore
