Right as you know fitted a new EGR valve still coming up with the EGR is at fault

Whats the 5 pins for the wires then ? is one of them an earth that could not be connected or something ?

black: ignition 12v+
black / white: goes to tps and map sensor
black / brown: to ecu
brown / blue: to ecu
brown: goes to an earth on the ecu (but uses a common earth with the tps and cts)

check continuity between the ecu and the wires on the plug, check its got a good earth and obviously 12v ign switched live. also check the earths on the cts and tps
